Eureden launches a low-carbon project awareness campaign for its members
Decarbonizing operations, a major concern for Eureden.
Ever since the Eureden Group was founded, a CSR policy based on 25 areas of action, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the fight against global warming, has been in place.
In this context, Eureden carried out a Scope 3 carbon audit in 2020 for all the Group's activities (agriculture, processing, distribution). This revealed that 80% of emissions are linked to raw materials from upstream agricultural activities (plant and animal production). This is a major concern for our members, who are keen to find pragmatic solutions to help them reduce their impact and sequester carbon in the soil.
Eureden has decided to make available free of charge to its members (excluding dairy farmers) a solution called "Simplified Carbon Self-Diagnosis" offered by the French start-up "MyEasyFarm", whose MyEasyCarbon tool is certified as compliant with the "grande culture" method of the Label Bas Carbone. The aim is to encourage as many members as possible to carry out this simplified carbon diagnosis at farm level (calculating greenhouse gas emissions and soil carbon storage potential), to give them an overview of all the technical levers available to limit their carbon footprint.
