In the spring of 2023, on the eve of the beet sowing season, Cristal Union, in partnership with MyEasyFarm, is launching the MyEasyCarbon Simplified Diagnostic self-diagnosis tool, adapted to beet growing, which enables all members of the cooperative to carry out a simplified carbon diagnosis of their farm and identify potential levers for improving their carbon footprint from cristalcoop.fr, the online services platform dedicated to Cristal Union cooperative members.

MyEasyCarbon, a simple and reliable tool developed by MyEasyFarm
Since 2019, MyEasyFarm has been certified Data-Agri, a label for securing agricultural data developed by the FNSEA and Jeunes Agriculteurs, which guarantees its users the protection, security and non-sharing of their data.
Launched in September 2021, the MyEasyCarbon solution for diagnosing, calculating and tracking carbon credits in field crops is the first application to be certified Label Bas Carbone by Bureau Veritas.
MyEasyCarbon is an application dedicated to food industry players (farmers, cooperatives, agro-industries), enabling them to identify and measure the factors that reduce CO2 emissions and increase soil carbon storage in agriculture, which can ultimately generate additional income for farmers in the form of carbon credits. The solution is already being used by a growing number of low-carbon project developers in France, which Cristal Union is now joining.
MyEasyCarbon Simplified Diagnostic, an adapted tool and a first step towards decarbonizing Cristal Union's upstream agricultural activities.
The agronomy teams at MyEasyFarm and Cristal Union worked closely together during 2022 to develop a simplified version of MyEasyCarbon that is easily accessible to farmers.
Completely free of charge for Cristal Union cooperative members, this online self-assessment tool gives access in around 20 minutes to a farm's net carbon footprint (calculated on the basis of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon storage in the soil) and identifies effective levers for improving its footprint.
For Cristal Union, the analysis of simplified carbon diagnoses will make it possible to take stock of the carbon footprint of the upstream agricultural sector, so as to better support volunteer farmers in their projects to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions or sequester carbon in the soils of their farms. With MyEasyCarbon Simplified Diagnostic, Cristal Union is continuing along the path of decarbonization to achieve its ambitious targets of -25% GHG emissions for our agricultural and industrial activities by 2030.
"For our cooperative, the challenge of agricultural decarbonization means supporting all willing cooperators in changing their practices towards the agro-ecological transition. The availability of the MyEasyCarbon simplified carbon self-diagnosis tool is a major first step. In a second phase, for those cooperators who wish to do so, it will enable them to undertake a plan for agronomic progress towards low-carbon agricultural practices, or to commit to a Low Carbon Label approach that can generate carbon credits and/or enhance the value of their low-carbon production through channel premiums," emphasized Bruno Labilloy, Cristal Union's Agricultural Director.
