Three complementary areas of expertise
The SMART HEMPDATA project draws its strength from the synergy between three innovative partners:
MyEasyFarm France): The company is rolling out its MRV platform to manage data aggregation, the user interface, and carbon calculations.
Croptic (Flanders, Belgium): This specialist brings its expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and drone imaging, which is essential for crop health diagnostics.
Hyler (Flanders, Belgium): As an expert in harvesting machinery, Hyler provides real-time telemetry and sensor data from its machines.
AI and Data in the Service of Agronomy
In hemp cultivation, optimizing the harvest date is a major challenge. To address this, the SMART HEMPDATA project will, over a 24-month period, establish full interoperability between the platforms of the three partners in order to predict optimal harvest dates.
In practical terms, artificial intelligence and drones will make it possible to identify areas of disease or stress in fields. This technology will ensure an optimized harvest, both in terms of yield and quality. In addition, thanks to the MyEasyCarbon, MyEasyFarm expertise MyEasyFarm to calculate the reduction in CO2 emissions associated with this crop.
In order to collect relevant data from the outset of the project, we are currently in the process of gradually recruiting partner farmers.
Ethics, Transparency, and European Funding
This project is co-financed by the European Union through the Crossroads initiative, as part of the Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders program.
True to its commitments, MyEasyFarm data sovereignty at the heart of this partnership. To ensure complete trust among all stakeholders, no data will be shared without the explicit consent of the farmers involved.
François Thierart, CEO of MyEasyFarm, emphasizes the importance of this initiative :
“ SMART HEMPDATA is a perfect illustration of our ‘Measure, Monitor, Transform’ methodology. By connecting Hyler harvesting machines and Croptic’s intelligence to our platform, we are setting a new standard for traceability and performance in the hemp industry, a key driver of the low-carbon transition ”.
