A major project for European agricultural resilience
Poland, one of the EU's largest agricultural producers, plays a vital role in European food security. The Lower Silesia 360° project, orchestrated by EIT Food, aims to strengthen the resilience of this region in the face of climate change. This three-year program (2025-2028) involves 200 Polish farmers across more than 20,000 hectares of major crops: rapeseed, wheat, malting barley, and sugar beet.
Data at the service of transition: the role of MyEasyFarm
To ensure the integrity and success of this transition, the project is supported by a consortium of experts comprising Biosphères, Seqana, and MyEasyFarm, which provides the "digital backbone.".
- Robust MRV platform : MyEasyFarm provides its digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification technology to collect reliable data on soil health, biodiversity, and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Synergy of expertise : The platform centralizes scientific analyses from SEQANA on soil carbon quantification and the field expertise of BIOSPHERES, the European leader in regenerative agriculture.
Connecting the agri-food value chain
The originality of the project lies in its collaborative "landscape" approach. It aligns farmers' actions with the sustainability commitments of major contractors such as Bunge, PepsiCo, Viking Malt, and Malteurop.
As Guillaume Vial, Solutions Manager at MyEasyFarm, points out: "The EIT FOOD Lower Silesia project is a great example of the simultaneous use of MyEasyFarm's MRV platform by four agri-food companies and 200 farmers sharing their changes in practices."
Measurable impacts for the future
Beyond improving soil health and carbon sequestration, the project offers farmers tailored technical training and financial incentives. The lessons learned from this project will serve as a model for replicating this transition across Europe starting in 2029.
